 Artist statement: This piece evokes in me a nostalgia; An almost rose tinted, dream like memory of simpler, freer times. Picnics in the fields during the harvest as a child, late afternoons with pink tinted sky’s in the countryside, skipping over freshly turned rows of hay, with a warmth about the air...I continue to explore the push and pull between my external landscape - that is rural Devon where I grew up and have since returned. And my own internal landscape, the lens that shapes the way I view and experience the world around me. As featured in Art WHO magazine.
